West Indies Team Review for World Cup 2015

Chris Gayle will need to get them off to a good start with Sarwan and Chandrapaul stabilizing the middle & Bravo together with pollard to finish it off. If this Batters fail it'l be really hard for the inexperienced bowling line up to defend modest scores on Asian pitches. They are in doubt of not making even the semis as the dark horses Bangladesh are in the same group with them.

The worst West Indian side in World Cup history has been given a "70% chance" by their most successful captain - Clive Lloyd. Maybe he means a 70% chance in winning a game against one of the other 4 main teams in its World Cup group.

On the face of it, they are in for a torrid time. Will almost certainly not go beyond the quarters, if that.

Strengths:

  • Shockingly, not even one. Despite Gayle, Dwaye Bravo and Chanderpaul, a fundamentally low impact team on all counts.

Weaknesses:

  • Pretty much at the bottom amongst the 8 main teams in all the categories. Both batting and bowling are low impact.
